Archie Hunter, Aston Villa
In 1887 The Aston Villa captain Archie Hunter scored against West Bromwich on Kennington Oval, a match which Aston Villa won 2-0. It was the first Fa cup final that Aston Villa won, but they have won 7 finals. Archie Hunter was a legend on Villa Park, when he could not attend an awayday match because of his job and could not travel with the other players, Aston Villa rented a train just to transport Archie Hunter to the match.

The missing FA cup

When Aston Villa in 1895 had won 1-0 against West Bromwhich the club decided to a give a permission to the trader William Shillock to place the cup in his window in his shop in Birmingham. The cup was stolen on the night to the 11 September and has never been found, but the police could not solve the crimeng and William Shillock placed a reward of £10 and he promised the thief amnesty, but his efforts was fruitless.

In January 1896 FA fined Aston Villa £25 and Aston Villa was ordered to create a new cup which should cost £25 and look like the old cup when Wolverhampton won the final in 1893. The chairman of Wolverhampton, Sir Alfred Hickman got a special permission to give each one of his players a mini copy of the FA cup one of these costs was used as a model in the new FA Cup.

In 1958 Harry Burke a 83 year old man confessed to a Sunday paper that he had stolen the cup in 1895 and melted it to coins, but he could not prove it.

The second Fa cup was given in 1910 to Lord Kinnaird on his 21 year celebration as a chairman of The Football Association
