Englands first defeat on Wembley


England against Hungary at Wembley 25. november 1953, for the first time England lost a match against a team from Continetal Europe. The English was put under pressure nearly all 90 minutes - like in this situation where Harry Johnston aid the goalkeeper Gil Merrick and stops Nandor Hidegkuti. 4 of the Hungarians who scored goals in the 6-3 Hungarian victory was : Jozsef Zakarias,Jozsef Bozsik,Gando Kocsis and Guyla Lorant.
